The Neighbour is played by Anna-Maria Power who along with some of Janey's cast are natural born actors but
don't actually perform. She is originally from Goatstown Dublin and has a passion for photography and the 'old city of Dublin'. She shares the same sadness many feel that the old character of the city
is disappearing. It's once beautiful streets and buildings that gave it that unqiue 'Dicken's' feel is going or gone. Along with having many other interests Annna enjoys tennis and watching
Formula 1. She also has another passion and that's helping the elderly. She is also a volunteer with Alone which is a dedictaed charity in helping the elderly of the city.
Anna was asked by director Paul Brady to play the role of a digruntled neighbour who is tired of poor little Janey knocking on the door and begging. In those days everyone
is trying to get by in the tough times that was the 1940's. She becomes enraged when Janey calls again to beg and frightens her off. It is a small role but again significant as she represents
the frustration allot people felt then having little.
